River Valley’s success is due in large part to our roster of experienced and hardworking agents. Here is an introduction to Matthew Jacobs.
What made you become a realtor?
After spending several years working in the fashion public relations business in New York City I decided that I was yearning for a change of career and lifestyle. I had always loved architecture, historic properties and interior design, and had taken a keen interest in real estate as a civilian spectator. Coupled with my desire to find a career that would offer a more independent and entrepreneurial approach, real estate seemed like a perfect fit. After enrolling in a standard pre-licensure course, I took to it immediately & was all the surer that I’d made the right choice!
What professional associations and/or local organizations are you involved with?
I am a member of the Board of Trustees of the Lambertville Historical Society, where I also serve as the organization’s Publicity Chair. I am passionate about historic homes both on personal and professional levels, and it is a true honor to be involved in such an important organization in such a uniquely preserved town!
What separates you from your competition?
My perspective and approach to serving the needs of my real estate clients uniquely benefits from the skills & experience that I originally developed during my previous career. As a publicist working on behalf of some of the world’s best known & most influential fashion brands, I learned early the importance of emphasizing – and tirelessly working towards – a client’s priorities and goals, always concentrating on what is best for them, not simply what would be advantageous for oneself. These guiding principles enable me to provide a specialized level of service and dedication to the buyers & sellers that I have the privilege of representing.
